Ahh, the simple cauliflower.
Not the most popular of veggies for most…. until they try it this way!
I remember a few years ago my husband said “I don’t like cauliflower” he also said this about brussel sprouts, zucchini, cucumber and gnocchi. Although I have not converted him on raw zucchini or any cucumber, I have brought him around on sprouts and gnocchi and he loves cauliflower.
We use these recipes as a party snack, entree or a meal if you are my girlfriend Sara and I when making this the other day….
After you have broken the head into a little bigger then bite size and washed them I then battered in an wholemeal flour and water blend with just a pinch of salt. I use 1:1.5 ratio of flour to water.
You then lay them out on a baking tray and bake for 20 – 30 mins at 180°C.
Whilst these are baking you can make your glazes and dipping sauces.
Way 1: RED CURRY
Glaze: Whisk the below
2 Tbl of red curry paste (check vegan)
1 Tbl of maple syrup
Water to thin – if necessary
Dipping Sauce: blend the below
1 avocado
1 spring onion stalk
Water to thin
Way 2 : MAPLE, SOY AND SESAME
Glaze: Whisk the below
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup soy
1 Tbl sesame oil
2 tbl sesame seeds
No dipping sauce required – they are that good!
Way 3: PANKO CRUNCHY WINGS
Glaze: whisk the below
2 Tbl sesame oil
1 cup Panko crumbs
pinch salt and pepper
